How to create a Web Application on Cogniss Creator

A step-by-step guide to turning your Cogniss App into a full-responsive Web Application.

Written by Vivian Zhang

Overview

You can turn any app you create on Cogniss Creator (not Cogniss Studio) into a fully-responsive Web App in a few simple steps.

The video below walks you through the process of turning your app into a Web Application.

Instructions on how to create a web application:

  1. Log into Cogniss Creator on your computer/desktop.

  2. Open the app you'd like to turn into a Web App.

  3. Select Settings from the Creator sidebar on the left.

  4. Scroll down to the Platforms section.

  5. Check the option that says Web app enabled.

  6. Save your changes.

Cogniss supports both mobile and web applications, so it's possible to have your app be accessible from both devices, not just one exclusively!

How to set up a subdomain for your web app

You can set up a standalone URL for your application by adding a subdomain, based on your Cogniss environment URL. For example, appname.platformname.cogniss.com.

Please speak to your Customer Success Manager or contact the Cogniss Support team to enable the subdomain feature for your web app.

  1. Go to Settings and enable the web app.

  2. Enter your desired Subdomain in the subdomain field.

Important: The subdomain should only include the name (no www., .com, or any full URL format) and should be written in lowercase.
