â Changes to Subdomain access
Weâve made an important update to how Cogniss handles subdomains to create a smoother experience for your team and your users. Previously, if someone mistyped or entered an invalid subdomain, they were unintentionally redirected into the shared Cogniss cloud environment. This sometimes led to users creating accounts in the wrong space. To fix this, weâve tightened URL handling so that only approved and valid subdomains will load. This means:
Invalid or unregistered URLs will now simply return a âPage not found,â instead of dropping users into the wrong environment.
Any new subdomains you want to use for your web app or environments will just need to be registered with us first so they can be recognised.

Overall, this change removes accidental cross-environment confusion and ensures your users land exactly where theyâre meant to.
Other notable improvements & updates:
Consistent text formatting: Formatting contents in the app, such as bold, italics and headings now appear consistently on both web and mobile. What you see while editing is exactly what your users will see in the app.
Finding Activities in the Content page made simpler and more efficient: Quickly find specific activities in one place using the search bar and âView all activitiesâ function in the Content page on Cogniss Creator.
Set day streaks in Behavior to recurring: Allow app users to earn rewards like XP or other incentives each time they complete the streak on consecutive days, encouraging daily engagement and re-engaging returning users.
Simplified external video embedding: Now add YouTube and Vimeo videos by pasting URLs directly from your browser. No need to find and extract embed links. This streamlined process makes adding external videos faster and easier.
Expo SDK 53 upgrade: Cogniss apps have been upgraded to Expo SDK 53, bringing improved performance, updated libraries, and better support for modern devices. This ensures a smoother, more stable experience for both app builders and users.
