Introduction
Editing your app's content just got a lot simpler. The Content & Survey Editor brings content blocks and survey questions into one place, so you can build content and organise everything without breaking your flow. Drag content into the order you want, edit it directly, and keep your momentum instead of clicking through menus and separate screens.
The Content and Survey Editor brings everything you need into a single, streamlined workspace. With it, you can:
View and manage all your content blocks (e.g. text, images, survey fields) together in one place
Create Views to group content blocks together on one page
Rearrange content blocks and Views by dragging and dropping them into the order you want
Edit any content block directly by selecting it in the left panel, so small changes don't interrupt your flow
Step 1: Open the Content & Survey Editor
To get started:
For a new activity: Create an activity, then select the Launch Content & Survey Editor button
For an existing activity: Open the Content & Survey Editor from the activity you want to edit or Edit Content from the activity list
If you're editing an existing activity, all previously created content blocks and survey questions will automatically appear in the editor. Your content is preserved and continues to function as before.
Step 2: Add or edit content
Click + Add content block to start building your content in the activity.
To create new content, click + Add content block.
To edit existing content, select a content block or survey question from the left panel and edit from the middle of the page
You can add different types of content blocks, including:
Text & Images
External media files in video and audio formats
Survey questions, such as multiple choice, multiple select, or text response
Step 3: Edit the content
The middle section displays the content editor for the selected content block. Use this area to update the content based on the block type. For example, you can:
Edit text and headings.
Replace or upload images.
Update videos or other media.
Modify survey questions and answer options.
Step 3: Organise your content into pages
Use Views to organise your content into pages.
Add a new View to create another page by selecting the Add view button from the left section of the editor.
To move a content block, hover on the content block, click and hold the handle icon (☰), and drag and drop it into a View, or select More > Move to... and choose the destination View.
To add a content block to an existing view, first select the desired View, then click + Add content block. The new block will be added to that View.
Step 4: Arrange your content in order
Arrange your content blocks and Views in the order you want users to experience.
Hover on a View or content block, click and hold the handle icon (☰), and drag and drop into the desired place.
Arrange your content blocks in the desired order. Content blocks are displayed from top to bottom, with the top-most block appearing first.
Step 5: Customise your content
You can make your activity easier to manage and navigate by updating names and labels
Rename the content block
Content blocks are given a default name based on their content type. You can rename them to make them easier to identify.
Select the content block.
Open the Content block settings icon (✎).
Update the Content block name.
Save your changes.
Rename the view
You can rename each view to make them easier to identify.
Hover on a View.
Click on the View settings icon (⚙).
Update the View name by replacing the current name.
Save your changes.

To change the button users select to navigate to the next page:
Hover on a View.
Click on the View settings icon (⚙).
Update the Button label. This is the button at the bottom of the page that users select to continue to the next page (or the concluding page)
Save your changes.
Step 6: Manage your workspace
If your activity contains multiple Views, you can collapse or expand them to make the editor easier to navigate while editing.
Select a View.
Click the collapse view icon (⌃) or expand view icon (⌄)
Step 7: Preview your activity
When you've finished building your content, preview the activity in your app to check that everything looks and behaves as expected.
FAQs
Is the old way of building content still available?
Yes. The Content & Survey Editor is the new, faster way to build content, but the previous method is still fully available. If you'd rather work the way you did before (or you want to check how an existing activity was originally set up) open the activity's Topic from the Content tab and view or edit its content blocks there, just as before.

How do I review content that was built the old way?
All of it is fully available in the Content & Survey Editor. Content blocks and survey questions you created previously migrate across automatically, so you can open any existing activity in the editor and view or edit everything right there — nothing needs to be rebuilt or moved.
